Really fun family style dining. All the sides were on a turntable in the middle family style. We all enjoyed our chicken - you get a lot of food. The cinnamon rolls were amazing - dinner rolls with cinnamon butter.
This is the best fried chicken ever! The chicken is prepared just perfectly and tastes delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy and cinnamon rolls are also awesome. The green beans are well seasoned, but seem to originate from a can, so aren't so great. But, who needs green beans when you have that awesome chicken. The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is casual and homey.
Strouds is a comfort food paradise! 1/2 price beer all day, every day, home style sides and great portions round this place out to be a favorite. If you like livers and gizzards, this is enough for a small army.
Great location and good amount of parking space. From the seating staff up to servers, outstanding service. The food was delicious! I had catfish with old-fashioned mash potatoes and green beans with gravy. My husband had the chicken fried chicken, and he also said his meal was yummy. I love the way the served side dishes in separate plates. That way, we all can share. Really, a gem in a good side city. Prices are good too.
I really loved their Chicken Fried Steak and fried chicken. They have all you can eat sides including mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. They have cinnamon buns for dessert. The restaurant had plenty of space for you to bring your family. The restaurants in a great location. Strouds is a must try restaurant in KC.

It's amazing! Served family style, so you can keep getting more potatoes, green beans, & gravy! The chicken is pan fried..so it comes out hot! It's definitely worth the wait! I always get the 3 breast meal!( 21.99 ) At the end of your meal, they bring out cinnamon rolls! They're not your traditional cinnamon rolls....which is awesome! No matter how full you maybe...you'll eat one They've got other menu items..but I'm here for the chicken! Pre-meal you get homemade chicken noodle soup or salad. Get the soup! The staff is very friendly, & luckily they weren't very busy! It was my dad's birthday, & he loved it! Today. Jason was an amazing server!
